Summary: Arbour Health collects only the health and account data you provide. We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and you can delete everything at any time.
1. Who We Are
Arbour Health is a product of Arbour Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, based in Swansea, Wales. We build AI-powered health and wellness tools for personal use.
For privacy matters, contact us at: privacy@arbourintelligence.ai
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what you provide or import:
- Account data: Your email address and name (used to create and identify your account)
- Health data: Weight readings, fitness log entries, health metrics (heart rate, HRV, steps, blood pressure, VO₂ Max, body fat), hydration logs, and sleep data imported from Apple Health
- Meal and nutrition data: Meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and cupboard inventory you create
- Usage data: Basic analytics to help us improve the app (no advertising profiles)
3. Why We Collect It
- To provide the core functionality of Arbour Health (tracking, analysis, planning)
- To sync your data securely across your devices
- To power AI features (recipe analysis, meal planning) via our AI processing partner
- To send you account-related emails (password resets, confirmations)
4. Health Data — Special Category
Health data is classified as Special Category data under UK GDPR. We treat it with the highest level of care. We process your health data solely to provide the service you have requested, with your explicit consent.
Your health data is:
- Encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest in our database
- Accessible only to you — protected by Row Level Security so no other user can access your records
- Never used to train AI models
- Never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes
5. AI Features and Third Parties
Some features use AI to analyse recipes, generate meal plans, and provide nutritional context. When you use these features, relevant data (recipe ingredients, meal preferences) is sent to our AI processing partner for processing. Their privacy policy applies to this processing and is available on request.
Your data is stored securely in a cloud database located in the EU-West region (Ireland). Your data never leaves the European Economic Area.
We use a third-party provider for application hosting. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
